Project Manager

1. Educational Background:

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. 
  • Preferred Qualification: Master’s degree or higher in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field. 
  • Certifications: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute or equivalent certification (e.g., PRINCE2) 

2. Professional Experience:

  • Minimum Years of Experience: At least 10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, preferably in government or healthcare sectors. 
  • Specific Experience: Experience in managing federal contracts or projects that involve strict compliance with governmental regulations. Prior experience with workplace health and safety programs or similar public health initiatives would be highly beneficial. 

3. Skills and Competencies:

  •  Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and team members. 
  • Analytical Skills: High proficiency in data analysis and decision-making to drive project success and adapt strategies based on evolving project needs. 
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple project components simultaneously without compromising on quality or timelines. 

4. Knowledge:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the relevant federal and state regulations and standards that govern workplace health and safety, including any specific legal requirements related to drug-free workplace policies. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the latest project management software and tools that facilitate effective project tracking and communication. 

5. Personal Traits:

  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions. 
  • Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to new challenges and changes in project scope or regulations. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high quality and compliance in all project deliverables. 

6. Responsibilities:

  • Scope Management: Ensure that the project stays within scope, on time, and within budget. 
  • Team Coordination: Oversee all project teams and subcontractors, ensuring collaboration and efficiency. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly update and engage with stakeholders, gathering feedback and adjusting project direction as necessary. 
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control processes to maintain standards and meet all project objectives. 
  • Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports on project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
